Week 8 Wrapup

Summary

Week 8 brought us one of the WILDEST matchups of the season, one absolutely crushing performance, and the luckiest win you’ll see all year. Strap in, folks!

Tyler came out SWINGING with a massive 158.62 points, but here’s the crazy part—David actually showed up to play this week with 142.76! David, you put up your best performance in WEEKS and you STILL lost! That’s the cruelest hand fantasy football can deal you—finally breaking out of your slump only to run face-first into Tyler’s buzzsaw. This is like studying all semester, acing the final exam, and still somehow failing the class because your professor curved it weird. David, my condolences—you deserved better than this!

Lee absolutely DEMOLISHED Nick M with 146.42 points while Nick M stumbled in with a pathetic 85.78. Nick M, your luck has officially run out! You’ve been backing into wins all season with garbage scores, but this week karma came calling and she brought receipts! Lee put on a clinic while Nick M looked like he forgot to even set his lineup. This wasn’t a matchup, this was a mercy rule situation!

Brian put together a solid 131.36, taking down Nick H’s 92.82 in what was actually a pretty convincing win. Nick H, what happened to you? You were on fire a couple weeks ago and now you’re putting up scores that make people wonder if you even care anymore. Meanwhile, Chris continued his hot streak with 114.5, beating Trevor’s 91.68—Trevor’s basically become the league punching bag at this point. Trevor, you gotta do SOMETHING different because whatever you’re doing ain’t working!

And now, the LUCKIEST win of the entire season: Alan beat Bill 76.24 to 75.24 in a matchup that can only be described as two people racing to see who could disappoint their families the most! Alan won by EXACTLY ONE POINT with the lowest winning score we’ve seen all season! Both of you put up performances that would embarrass a middle school team, but Alan somehow backed into this W like a guy stumbling drunk into a taxi. Bill, you scored 75 points and you can’t even be mad about losing because honestly, you both sucked!
