Summary

Week 2 brought receiver corps chaos, a game that was legitimately lost on the bench, and Nick H doing Nick H things again.

The Mayor Can’t Catch a Breath

Lee handled Bill 127.08 to 95.76 behind Patrick Mahomes going nuclear for 35.88 points on a 21.44 projection. Bill got a big day from Dak Prescott too (34.46), but David Montgomery completely no-showed with 3.4 points on a 13.19 projection, and Bill compounded the mistake by leaving Rachaad White’s 11.3 points on the bench in his place. Bill, you’re 1-1 now, and this loss has that same “my own roster decisions helped bury me” flavor to it.

Butt Dial Hangs Up on Itself

This was the game of the week, and not in a good way for Brian. Chris squeaked out a 73.18 to 70.8 win behind a bounce-back day from Matthew Stafford (31.48, after last week’s disaster), while Saquon Barkley quietly no-showed for Chris with 2.5 points. But the real gut-punch belongs to Brian: he started Malik Nabers, who scored 0.6 points, while Tee Higgins sat on his bench with 12.0. Swap those two and Brian wins this game by nine points. Brian, that loss is entirely, 100 percent, self-inflicted - you beat yourself.

They Tookerrr Jobs Drains Freshwater

Alan handled Tyler 125.82 to 102.9 thanks to DeVonta Smith going for 24.7, even though Bo Nix is quietly turning into a real problem at quarterback for him. Tyler got an absurd game from Davante Adams - 37.5 points on a 13.63 projection - but Bijan Robinson completely disappeared (9.6 on a 21-point projection), and Tyler still found a way to leave Jake Ferguson’s 18.3 points on the bench behind Dallas Goedert’s 0.9. Tyler, that’s twice this league has seen a near-unplayable tight end start over a bench player who went off - somebody’s setting these lineups with their eyes closed.

The Quitters Go Loud

Nick M dominated David 124.66 to 60.24 in the week’s most lopsided game, powered by Amon-Ra St. Brown’s 32.7 points. David’s outing was a disaster across the board - even his “best” performer, Jayden Daniels, came in under projection at 16.34 - and his Chiefs defense finished at negative 2 points. That’s a minus sign, folks. David is now 1-1 but sitting on a bottom-of-the-league point total, and things need to change fast.

Pledgecobar Outguns Normous

And then there’s Nick H, who followed up his week 1 explosion with an even bigger one, dropping a league-high 161.42 points behind Josh Allen’s absurd 43.72, to beat Trevor 161.42 to 138.48. Trevor actually played well enough to beat almost anyone else in this league - CeeDee Lamb went for 33.3 - but Nick H is playing a different sport right now. Two weeks, two blowout wins, and Pablo Pledgecobar looks like the class of the league early.

Two weeks down, and this league already has a clear tier system: Nick H at the top, David and Bill searching for answers at the bottom, and Brian left wondering what could’ve been if he’d just trusted his own bench. See you next week. - Fake Commish
